reach out to troubled neighborhood

MILWAUKEE -- The neighborhood near Johnsons Park on the north side is one most Milwaukeeans are usually content to ignore, unless a particular crime is too horrifying to overlook.

Such a crime occurred Sept. 29, as a pack of boys and men, most in their early teens, beat Charlie Young Jr., 36, to death. More than a dozen have been arrested, and as of Tuesday nine teen-agers have been charged as adults, including three 13-year-olds.   Full story ...
